Q Discuss the pros and cons of having a "professional legislature." What are the benefits and the problems of having an incumbent or "career representative?" Should the voters or term limits be the sole arbiter of whether a politician needs to continue in their role? Do you believe that term limits would encourage only the wealthy to seek political office, since those who are not may not be able to afford to leave their job, hold political office, and return to that same job once their term limits ends?

The pros of having a professional legislature are that the members are fully aware of their duties. Also, their experience allows them to make decisions efficiently and effectively. They can also create a harmonious relationship with their constituents, considering the years that they spend together; they will be familiar with each other’s personalities and help them to resolve any conflicts immediately. One of the cons that I see in professional jurisdiction as they were in the position for a long time is that they overuse their power or use them to no good.
